The original part of this mountain lake retreat, designed by architect Oscar Stonorov, held fond memories for one of the current owners, who had spent many summers here when it belonged to the family of her college roommate. She and her husband were delighted to have the opportunity to purchase the property years later. While many of the first homes surrounding the lake had been torn down and replaced by large, contemporary houses, these owners chose instead to save and modify their house to accommodate their own lifestyle in a way that would also complement the original design.
The first addition was a large two level deck for outdoor entertaining. A few years later, a new master bedroom was added. The final phase of work, recently completed, included a new kitchen and additional bedroom wing.
